The code for the bot is not public and we do not allow servers to host their own instance at this time.
The best place to suggest changes to the bot or character builds is in the #galaxybot-requests channel in Genshin Galaxy.
Galaxy.Bot does not collect information on its users, other than what it is necessary to function. For example, the bot stores the server ID to associate with any settings in its database. When the bot is kicked or removed from a server, all settings associated with that server are deleted.
In terms of Discord “intents”, the bot does not request the Members intent or the Presence intent, so the bot is not able to pull down member lists in any server.
When adding the bot, it will request only the permissions it needs. You will see two separate prompts when adding the bot. The first is to enable Slash commands support (the bot will eventually support them), and the second requests the permissions necessary for the bot to function.
Can I reject global permissions and only use channel permissions?
Yes, servers can reject the bot’s global permissions and instead use channel permissions, but they must be the same permissions requested globally, or the bot will not function.
Due to a known Discord issue, interaction responses inherit permissions from the @everyone
role for that channel instead of the bot’s role. You will need to adjust the everyone role in your server (or channels) to allow external emoji.
